Skipped Workout


Because of the problems I was experiencing, I had not been able to do a single pushup for the past three months; however, after three months, I completed 50+ pushups, which carried me back to the years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. That workout literally renewed me, and I was in a mental state in which everything I saw felt fresh. My old friend felt brand new. The tiredness I felt during the workout was new, as was the sweat, and the stinky smell on my clothes during the workout. I remembered the tired work days when I was physically exhausted but appeared to be fine on the outside.

If remembering these things can refresh your mind, why not incorporate them into your daily routine? Let me explain: it's a mental state issue, nothing complicated. It was only the pushup that woke me up. Similarly, we will have some small things that will make us feel refreshed, such as travelling to a particular spot, watching the sunrise, getting up early and reading a book, hugging your mother, lovingly feeding your siblings, gifting your loved one, and so on. Getting refreshed is not difficult; try doing something you've been putting off for days or even years; do it today and I'm sure you'll have that refreshment in your mind.

Don't skip the things that refresh you because if it becomes a habit, it will last forever and it will be difficult to get back on track. So, no matter what the circumstances are, stick to the routine that brings you joy; don't try to break it because of an external factor because, in the end, all that matters is your internal one, your mind, and your soul to be happy.
