walking to school with mom
Luckily I did my nursery school in Bangalore, and the great part is my school was not having bus facilities when I studied. So daily I need to walk from home to school and school to home, with my mom and sometimes my dad or my brother's will be leave me in bike. It's actually a 1km walk from home to school, there's a lake on the right and there's a pit on the left and in the middle there's vehicle's going on, and there's no footpath on the way, but walking daily on the way was thrilling and frightening, but as I had my mom with me I was like 200% confident that I'm not gonna slip on the pit or on the lake, you can imagine, there was no fences on both sides so it's a dangerous place to walk but as I had my mom with me, I had no worries.
And to be brutally honest, the things I share with my mom even when I was a kid was actually good things, like if I get beaten by a sir or mam, I'm not gonna open my mouth, but at the same time if I was encouraged or uplifted on that day for my behaviour, I'll be sharing the thing until I reach home😂 those days were awesome. And somedays I'll see my neighbour uncle's coming to pick their child from school and as they see me, they'll take me along with them and those days weird things happen like, my mom would be searching me in school but I'm already at home. This happens often, that may sound weird but we were kids right at that time so we don't know how they will feel like and I was not having the braveness to say to them that I'll wait here my mom will be coming to pick me up.
And most importantly we won't be walking by holding their hand. At the beginning we are holding them but after sometime we don't obey them and we are independent, as I mentioned before it was a main road and no footpath was there, there were many possibilities of me getting hit by a vehicle but luckily I was safe each and every time, and I will get scolded like 😠that on the middle of the road. On that time my perspective was, anything may happen for anyone but nothing will happen for me and my mom or whoever coming to pick me. I don't know why I had this thought, but luckily I was okay.
The lesson that I'll learn from this is, we should also make the future generation to experience this kind of things, it doesn't matter we have a bike, car or even a private jet, we must take our kids for a walk to school, instead of a ride to school.
Thanks for reading ♥️
